And He cameto the disciplesand foundthem sleeping,and saidto Peter,"So,you [men] couldnot keep watchwith Me for onehour?
Then the kingof Israelreplied,"Tell[him], 'Let not him who girdson [his armor] boastlike him who takes[it] off.'"
"I was asleepbut my heartwas awake.A voice!My belovedwas knocking:'Opento me, my sister,my darling,My dove,my perfectone!For my headis drenchedwith dew,My lockswith the dampof the night.'
"Nowwhile the bridegroomwas delaying,they allgot drowsyand [began] to sleep.
Petersaidto Him, "Even ifI haveto diewith You, I will not denyYou." Allthe disciplessaidthe same thingtoo.
ThenHe saidto them, "My soulis deeply grieved,to the pointof death;remainhereand keep watchwith Me."
"Keep watchingand prayingthat you may not enterinto temptation;the spiritis willing,but the fleshis weak."
AgainHe cameand foundthem sleeping,for their eyeswere heavy.
And He cameand foundthem sleeping,and saidto Peter,"Simon,are you asleep?Couldyou not keep watchfor onehour?
When He rosefrom prayer,He cameto the disciplesand foundthem sleepingfrom sorrow,
NowPeterand his companionshad beenovercomewith sleep;but when they were fully awake,they sawHis gloryand the twomenstandingwith Him.
"In the morning,as soon as the sunis up, you shall riseearlyand rushupon the city;and behold,when he and the peoplewhoare with him comeout againstyou, you shall doto them whateveryou can."
