"It is not this wayamongyou, but whoeverwishesto becomegreatamongyou shall be your servant,
"In your filthinessis lewdness.BecauseI [would] have cleansedyou, Yet you are not clean,You will not be cleansedfrom your filthinessagainUntilI have spentMy wrathon you.
and whoeverwishesto be firstamongyou shall be your slave;
"Thenthey themselvesalsowill answer,'Lord,whendid we seeYou hungry,orthirsty,ora stranger,ornaked,orsick,orin prison,and did not take careof You?'
Manywomenwere therelookingon from a distance,whohad followedJesusfrom Galileewhile ministeringto Him.
"But it is not this wayamongyou, but whoeverwishesto becomegreatamongyou shall be your servant;
"For eventhe Sonof Mandid not cometo be served,but to serve,and to giveHis lifea ransomfor many."
Sitting down,He calledthe twelveand saidto them, "Ifanyonewantsto be first,he shall be lastof alland servantof all."
"I tellyou, this manwentto his housejustifiedrather thanthe other;for everyonewho exaltshimselfwill be humbled,but he who humbleshimselfwill be exalted."
"But [it is] not this waywith you, but the onewho is the greatestamongyou must becomelikethe youngest,and the leaderlikethe servant.
Jesusanswered,"My kingdomis not of thisworld.IfMy kingdomwere of thisworld,then My servantswould be fightingsothat I would not be handedover to the Jews;but as it is, My kingdomis not of this realm."
When they reachedSalamis,they [began] to proclaimthe wordof Godin the synagoguesof the Jews;and they alsohadJohnas their helper.
Not that we lord it overyour faith,but are workerswith you for your joy;for in your faithyou are standing firm.
the Lordgrantto him to findmercyfrom the Lordon that day--and you knowvery wellwhatservices he renderedat Ephesus.
whomI wishedto keepwith me, sothat on your behalfhe might ministerto me in my imprisonmentfor the gospel;
Are they not allministeringspirits,sentout to render servicefor the sakeof thosewho willinheritsalvation?
Whoeverspeaks,[is to do so] as onewho is speakingthe utterancesof God;whoeverserves[is to do] [so] as onewho is servingby the strengthwhichGodsupplies;sothat in all thingsGodmay be glorifiedthroughJesusChrist,to whombelongsthe gloryand dominionforeverand ever.Amen.
noryet as lording it overthoseallotted to your charge,but provingto be examplesto the flock.
And I sawthe womandrunkwith the bloodof the saints,and with the bloodof the witnessesof Jesus.When I sawher, I wonderedgreatly.
