"A VOICEWAS HEARDIN RAMAH,WEEPINGAND GREATMOURNING,RACHELWEEPINGFOR HER CHILDREN;AND SHE REFUSEDTO BE COMFORTED,BECAUSETHEY WERE NOMORE."
He returnedto his brothersand said,"The boyis not [there]; as for me, wheream I to go?"
Their fatherJacobsaidto them, "You have bereavedme of my children:Josephis nomore, and Simeonis nomore, and you would takeBenjamin;allthese things are againstme."
"But mandiesand liesprostrate.Manexpires,and whereis he?
Thussaysthe LORD,"A voiceis heardin Ramah,Lamentation[and] bitterweeping.Rachelis weepingfor her children; She refusesto be comfortedfor her children,Becausethey are nomore."
For I hearda cryas of a woman in labor,The anguishas of one givingbirthto her firstchild,The cryof the daughterof Ziongaspingfor breath,Stretchingout her hands,[saying], "Ah,woeis me, for I faintbefore murderers."
When He spreadit out beforeme, it was writtenon the frontand back, and writtenon it were lamentations, mourningand woe.
Thenwhathad been spokenthroughJeremiahthe prophetwas fulfilled:
Nowthey were allweepingand lamentingfor her; but He said,"Stopweeping, for she has not died, but is asleep."
ThenI looked, and I heardan eagleflyingin midheaven, sayingwith a loudvoice,"Woe,woe, woeto thosewho dwellon the earth, becauseof the remainingblastsof the trumpetof the threeangelswho are aboutto sound!"
