When the messengercameand toldhim, saying,"They have broughtthe headsof the king'ssons,"he said,"Putthem in twoheapsat the entranceof the gateuntilmorning."
Having been promptedby her mother,she said,"Giveme hereon a platterthe headof Johnthe Baptist."
Immediatelythe kingsentan executionerand commanded[him] to bring[back] his head.And he wentand had him beheadedin the prison,
