Joseph boughta linencloth,took Him down,wrappedHim in the linen clothand laidHim in a tombwhichhad beenhewnout in the rock;and he rolleda stoneagainstthe entranceof the tomb.
Whatright do you have here,And whomdo you have here,That you have hewna tombfor yourself here,You who hewa tombon the height,You who carvea restingplacefor yourself in the rock?
His gravewas assignedwith wickedmen,Yet He was with a richmanin His death,BecauseHe had donenoviolence,Norwas there any deceitin His mouth.
And behold,a severeearthquakehad occurred,for an angelof the Lorddescendedfrom heavenand cameand rolled awaythe stoneand satupon it.
And ascertainingthis from the centurion,he grantedthe bodyto Joseph.
MaryMagdaleneand Marythe [mother] of Joseswere lookingon [to see] whereHe was laid.
And he took it downand wrappedit in a linen cloth,and laidHim in a tombcut into the rock,wherenoonehad everlain.
SoJesus,againbeing deeply movedwithin,cameto the tomb.Nowit was a cave,and a stonewas lyingagainstit.
Sothey removedthe stone.ThenJesusraisedHis eyes,and said,"Father,I thankYou that You have heardMe.
Nowon the first[day] of the weekMaryMagdalenecameearlyto the tomb,while it was stilldark,and sawthe stone[already] taken awayfrom the tomb.
