Someoneranand filleda spongewith sour wine,putit on a reed,and gave Him a drink,saying,"Letus seewhetherElijahwill cometo take Him down."
They also gaveme gallfor my foodAnd for my thirstthey gaveme vinegarto drink.
Immediatelyoneof them ran,and takinga sponge,he filledit with sour wineand putit on a reed,and gave Him a drink.
They tried to giveHim winemixed with myrrh;but He did not takeit.
When someof the bystandersheardit, they [began] saying,"Behold,He is callingfor Elijah."
And Jesusuttereda loudcry,and breathed His last.
