They were gladwhen they heard[this], and promisedto givehim money.And he [began] seekinghowto betrayHim at an opportune time.
Ahabsaidto Elijah,"Have you foundme, O my enemy?"And he answered,"I have found[you], becauseyou have soldyourself to doevilin the sightof the LORD.
Then he saidto him, "Did not my heartgo[with you], whenthe manturnedfrom his chariotto meetyou? Is it a timeto receivemoneyand to receiveclothesand olivegrovesand vineyardsand sheepand oxenand maleand femaleservants?
With their wickednessthey makethe kingglad,And the princeswith their lies.
Thenoneof the twelve,namedJudasIscariot,wentto the chief priests
and said,"Whatare you willingto giveme to betrayHim to you?" And they weighedout thirtypieces of silverto him.
ThenJudasIscariot,whowas oneof the twelve,went offto the chief priestsin orderto betrayHim to them.
On the firstdayof UnleavenedBread, whenthe Passover[lamb] was being sacrificed,His disciplessaidto Him, "Wheredo You wantus to goand preparefor You to eatthe Passover?"
And Satanenteredinto Judaswho was calledIscariot,belongingto the numberof the twelve.
For the love of moneyis a rootof allsorts of evil,and someby longingfor it have wandered awayfrom the faithand piercedthemselveswith manygriefs.
Woeto them! For they have gonethe wayof Cain,and for paythey have rushed headlonginto the errorof Balaam,and perishedin the rebellionof Korah.
