And whileHe was praying,the appearanceof His facebecamedifferent,and His clothing[became] white[and] gleaming.
Your eyeswill seethe Kingin His beauty;They will beholda far-distantland.
For He grewup beforeHim like a tendershoot,And like a rootout of parchedground;He has no[stately] formor majestyThat we should lookupon Him, Norappearancethat we should be attractedto Him.
And He was transfiguredbeforethem; and His faceshonelikethe sun,and His garmentsbecameas whiteas light.
Afterthat, He appearedin a differentformto twoof them while they were walkingalong on their wayto the country.
Nowwhenallthe peoplewere baptized,Jesuswas alsobaptized,and while He was praying,heavenwas opened,
But Jesus Himselfwould [often] slip awayto the wildernessand pray.
It was at thistimethat He went offto the mountainto pray,and He spent the whole nightin prayerto God.
And it happenedthat whileHe was prayingalone,the discipleswere with Him, and He questionedthem, saying,"Whodo the peoplesaythat I am?"
And behold,twomenwere talkingwith Him; and they were Mosesand Elijah,
And the Wordbecameflesh,and dweltamongus, and we sawHis glory,gloryas of the only begottenfrom the Father,fullof graceand truth.
And fixing their gazeon him, allwho were sittingin the Councilsawhis facelikethe faceof an angel.
ThenI sawa greatwhitethroneand Him who satupon it, from whosepresenceearthand heavenfled away,and noplacewas foundfor them.
