He, however,tookher by the handand called,saying,"Child,arise!"
not like the covenantwhichI madewith their fathersin the dayI tookthem by the handto bringthem out of the landof Egypt,My covenantwhichthey broke,although I was a husbandto them," declaresthe LORD.
But whenthe crowdhad been sentout, He enteredand tookher by the hand,and the girlgotup.
And He cameto her and raisedher up, takingher by the hand,and the feverlefther, and she waitedon them.
Takingthe blind manby the hand,He broughthim out of the village;and after spittingon his eyesand layingHis handson him, He askedhim, "Do you seeanything?"
But Jesustookhim by the handand raisedhim; and he gotup.
When He cameto the house,He did not allowanyoneto enterwith Him, exceptPeterand Johnand James,and the girl'sfatherand mother.
And they [began] laughingat Him, knowingthat she had died.
And her spiritreturned,and she gotup immediately;and He gave ordersfor [something] to be givenher to eat.
When He had saidthese things,He criedout with a loudvoice,"Lazarus,comeforth."
"For justas the Fatherraisesthe deadand givesthem life,evensothe Sonalsogives lifeto whomHe wishes.
But Petersentthem allout and kneltdownand prayed,and turningto the body,he said,"Tabitha,arise."And she openedher eyes,and when she sawPeter,she satup.
(as it is written,"A FATHEROF MANYNATIONSHAVE I MADEYOU") in the presenceof Him whomhe believed,[even] God,who gives lifeto the deadand callsinto being that which does not exist.
