Nowit happenedthat He was passingthrough[some] grainfieldson a Sabbath;and His discipleswere pickingthe heads of grain,rubbingthem in their hands,and eating[the grain].
Sevendaysyou shall eatunleavenedbread,but on the firstdayyou shall removeleavenfrom your houses;for whoevereatsanything leavenedfrom the firstdayuntilthe seventhday,that personshall be cutofffrom Israel.
You shall also countfor yourselves from the dayafterthe sabbath,from the daywhen you broughtin the sheafof the waveoffering;there shall be sevencompletesabbaths.
On the firstdayyou shall havea holyconvocation;you shall not doanylaboriouswork.
"And no one,after drinkingold[wine] wishesfor new;for he says,'The oldis good[enough].'"
On anotherSabbathHe enteredthe synagogueand was teaching;and there was a mantherewhoserighthandwas withered.
"You shall countsevenweeksfor yourself; you shall beginto countsevenweeksfrom the time you beginto put the sickleto the standinggrain.
"Whenyou enteryour neighbor'sstandinggrain,then you may pluckthe headswith your hand,but you shall not wielda sicklein your neighbor'sstandinggrain.
