thenhe tookHim into his arms,and blessedGod,and said,
Be gladin the LORDand rejoice,you righteousones;And shoutfor joy,allyou who are uprightin heart.
And He took them in His armsand [began] blessingthem, layingHis handson them.
Takinga child,He sethim beforethem, and taking him in His arms,He saidto them,
And Marysaid:"My soulexaltsthe Lord,
And at oncehis mouthwas openedand his tongue[loosed], and he [began] to speakin praiseof God.
"Blessed[be] the LordGodof Israel,For He has visitedus and accomplishedredemptionfor His people,
The shepherdswent back,glorifyingand praisingGodfor allthat they had heardand seen,justas had been toldthem.
And he camein the Spiritinto the temple;and whenthe parentsbroughtin the childJesus,to carryout for Him the customof the Law,
"NowLord,You are releasingYour bond-servantto departin peace,Accordingto Your word;
The wordpleasedthe sonsof Israel,and the sonsof IsraelblessedGod;and they did not speakof goingup againstthem in warto destroythe landin whichthe sonsof Reubenand the sonsof Gadwere living.
