Thosewho led the waywere sternly tellinghim to be quiet;but he kept cryingout allthe more,"Sonof David,have mercyon me!"
O LORD,I callupon You; hastento me! Giveearto my voicewhen I callto You!
"Ask,and it will be givento you; seek,and you will find;knock,and it will be openedto you.
He saidto them, "Whyare you afraid,you men of little faith?"ThenHe gotup and rebukedthe windsand the sea,and it becameperfectlycalm.
As Jesuswenton from there,twoblind menfollowedHim, cryingout, "Have mercyon us, Sonof David!"
"Woeto you lawyers!For you have taken awaythe keyof knowledge;you yourselvesdid not enter,and you hinderedthosewho were entering."
NowHe was tellingthem a parableto show that at all timesthey oughtto prayand not to lose heart,
And they were bringingeventheir babiesto Him sothat He would touchthem, but when the disciplessawit, they [began] rebukingthem.
And he calledout, saying,"Jesus,Sonof David,have mercyon me!"
And Jesusstoppedand commandedthat he be broughtto Him; and when he came near,He questionedhim,
Someof the Phariseesin the crowdsaidto Him, "Teacher,rebukeYour disciples."
While He was stillspeaking,someonecamefrom [the house of] the synagogue official,saying,"Your daughterhas died;do not troublethe Teacheranymore."
ConcerningthisI imploredthe Lordthree timesthat it might leaveme.
