For You will not abandonmy soulto Sheol;Norwill You allowYour HolyOneto undergodecay.
But Godwill redeemmy soulfrom the powerof Sheol,For He will receiveme. Selah.
For Your lovingkindnesstowardme is great,And You have deliveredmy soulfrom the depthsof Sheol.
The wickedwill returnto Sheol,[Even] allthe nationswhoforgetGod.
The pathof life[leads] upwardfor the wiseThat he may keepawayfrom Sheolbelow.
Her feetgodownto death,Her stepstakeholdof Sheol.
Her houseis the wayto Sheol,Descendingto the chambersof death.
But he does not knowthat the deadare there,[That] her guestsare in the depthsof Sheol.
"Neverthelessyou will be thrustdownto Sheol,To the recessesof the pit.
"Sheolfrom beneathis excitedover you to meetyou when you come;It arousesfor you the spiritsof the dead,allthe leadersof the earth;It raisesallthe kingsof the nationsfrom their thrones.
"And you, Capernaum,will not be exaltedto heaven,will you? You will descendto Hades;for ifthe miracleshad occurredin Sodomwhich occurredin you, it would have remainedto this day.
"Ifyour eyecauses you to stumble,pluckit out and throwit from you. It is betterfor you to enterlifewith one eye,thanto havetwoeyesand be castinto the fieryhell.
"You serpents,you broodof vipers,howwill you escapethe sentenceof hell?
"But I sayto you that everyonewho is angrywith his brothershall be guiltybefore the court;and whoeversaysto his brother,You good-for-nothing,'shall be guiltybefore the supreme court;and whoeversays,'You fool,'shall be guilty[enough to go] into the fieryhell.
"Ifyour righteyemakes you stumble,tearit out and throwit from you; for it is betterfor you to loseoneof the partsof your body, thanfor your wholebodyto be throwninto hell.
And they criedout, saying,"Whatbusiness do we have with each other, Sonof God?Have You comehereto tormentus beforethe time?"
"And he criedout and said,FatherAbraham,have mercyon me, and sendLazarussothat he may dipthe tipof his fingerin waterand cooloff my tongue,for I am in agonyin thisflame.'
for I havefivebrothers--in orderthat he may warnthem, sothat they will not alsocometo thisplaceof torment.'
SeeingJesus,he criedout and fell beforeHim, and saidin a loudvoice,"Whatbusiness do we have with each other, Jesus,Sonof the Most HighGod?I begYou, do not tormentme."
"O DEATH,WHEREIS YOUR VICTORY?O DEATH,WHEREIS YOUR STING?"
For ifGoddid not spareangelswhen they sinned,but cast them into helland committedthem to pitsof darkness,reservedfor judgment;
And the devilwho deceivedthem was throwninto the lakeof fireand brimstone,wherethe beastand the false prophetare also;and they will be tormenteddayand nightforeverand ever.
