"Speakto the sonsof Israel,saying:'Whena womangivesbirthand bearsa male[child], then she shall be uncleanfor sevendays,as in the daysof her menstruationshe shall be unclean.
Godblessedthem; and Godsaidto them, "Be fruitfuland multiply,and fillthe earth,and subdueit; and ruleover the fishof the seaand over the birdsof the skyand over everylivingthingthat moveson the earth."
To the womanHe said,"I will greatlymultiplyYour painin childbirth,In painyou will bringforthchildren;Yet your desirewill be for your husband,And he will ruleover you."
Davidsentmessengersand tookher, and when she cameto him, he laywith her; and when she had purifiedherself from her uncleanness,she returnedto her house.
"Whocan makethe cleanout of the unclean?Noone!
"Whatis man,that he should be pure,Or he who is bornof a woman,that he should be righteous?
"Howthen can a manbe justwith God?Or howcan he be cleanwho is bornof woman?
Behold,I was broughtforthin iniquity,And in sinmy motherconceivedme.
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
But ifshe bearsa female[child], then she shall be uncleanfor two weeks,as in her menstruation;and she shall remainin the bloodof [her] purificationfor sixty-sixdays.
Whena womanhasa discharge,[if] her dischargein her bodyis blood,she shall continuein her menstrualimpurityfor sevendays;and whoevertouchesher shall be uncleanuntilevening.
Also you shall not approacha womanto uncoverher nakednessduring her menstrualimpurity.
Orifhe toucheshumanuncleanness,of whatever[sort] his uncleanness[may] be with whichhe becomesunclean,and it is hiddenfrom him, and then he comes to know[it], he will be guilty.
And whenthe daysfor their purificationaccordingto the lawof Moseswere completed,they broughtHim up to Jerusalemto presentHim to the Lord
