Then Delilahsaidto Samson,"Behold,you have deceivedme and toldme lies;nowpleasetellme howyou may be bound."
They sent[messages] to me fourtimesin thismanner,and I answeredthem in the sameway.
Do not be a witnessagainst your neighborwithoutcause,And do not deceivewith your lips.
"They cometo you as peoplecome,and sitbeforeyou [as] My peopleand hearyour words,but they do not dothem, for they dothe lustfuldesires[expressed] by their mouth,[and] their heartgoesaftertheir gain.
But Jesussaidto him, "Judas,are you betrayingthe Sonof Manwith a kiss?"
He saidto her, "Ifthey bindme tightlywith newropeswhichhave not been used,then I will becomeweakand be like any[other] man."
Then Delilahsaidto Samson,"Up to nowyou have deceivedme and toldme lies;tellme howyou may be bound."And he saidto her, "Ifyou weavethe sevenlocksof my hairwith the web[and fastenit with a pin,then I will become weakand be like anyother man."
Samsonsaidto her, "Ifthey bindme with sevenfreshcordsthat have not been dried,then I will becomeweakand be like any[other] man."
Now she had[men] lyingin waitin an innerroom.And she saidto him, "The Philistinesare upon you, Samson!"But he snappedthe cordsas a stringof towsnapswhen it touchesfire.So his strengthwas not discovered.
