Her fathersaid,"I reallythoughtthat you hatedher intensely;so I gaveher to your companion.Is not her youngersistermorebeautifulthanshe? Pleaselet her be yours instead."
So she removedher widow'sgarmentsand covered[herself] with a veil,and wrappedherself, and satin the gatewayof Enaim,whichis on the roadto Timnah;for she sawthat Shelahhad grownup, and she had not been givento him as a wife.
"So then,I thoughtto myselfthat I hadto domany thingshostileto the nameof Jesusof Nazareth.
Samson'swifeweptbeforehim and said,"You onlyhateme, and you do not loveme; you have propoundeda riddleto the sonsof my people,and have not told[it] to me." And he saidto her, "Behold,I have not told[it] to my fatheror mother;so should I tellyou?"
But Samson'swifewas [given] to his companionwhohad been his friend.
Samsonthen saidto them, "ThistimeI shall be blamelessin regardto the PhilistineswhenI dothem harm."
