Then Manoahentreatedthe LORDand said,"OLord,pleaselet the manof GodwhomYou have sentcometo us againthat he may teachus whatto dofor the boywho is to be born."
Teachme what I do not see;IfI have doneiniquity,I will not doit again'?
but getup and enterthe city,and it will be toldyou whatyou mustdo."
Then Manoaharoseand followedhis wife,and when he cameto the manhe saidto him, "Are you the manwhospoketo the woman?"And he said,"I am."
Then the angelof the LORDappearedto the womanand saidto her, "Beholdnow,you are barrenand have borneno[children], but you shall conceiveand givebirthto a son.
Then the womancameand toldher husband,saying,"A manof Godcameto me and his appearancewas like the appearanceof the angelof God,veryawesome.And I did not askhim wherehe [came] from, nordid he tellme his name.
"But he saidto me, 'Behold,you shall conceiveand givebirthto a son,and nowyou shall not drinkwineor strongdrinknoreatanyuncleanthing,for the boyshall be a Naziriteto Godfrom the wombto the dayof his death.'"
Godlistenedto the voiceof Manoah;and the angelof Godcameagainto the womanas she was sittingin the field,but Manoahher husbandwas not with her.
