Joshuasaidto allthe people,"Behold,thisstoneshall be for a witnessagainst us, for it has heardallthe wordsof the LORDwhichHe spoketo us; thus it shall be for a witnessagainst you, sothat you do not denyyour God."
"For calamityfrom Godis a terrorto me, And becauseof His majestyI candonothing.
That toowould have been an iniquity[calling for] judgment,For I would have deniedGodabove.
That I not be fulland deny[You] and say,"Whois the LORD?"Or that I not be in wantand steal,And profanethe nameof my God.
Listen,O heavens,and hear,O earth;For the LORDspeaks,"SonsI have rearedand broughtup, But they have revoltedagainst Me.
Transgressingand denyingthe LORD,And turningawayfrom our God,Speakingoppressionand revolt,Conceiving[in] and utteringfrom the heartlyingwords.
"Surelythe stonewill cryout from the wall,And the rafterwill answerit from the framework.
but a wholemonth,untilit comesout of your nostrilsand becomesloathsometo you; becauseyou have rejectedthe LORDwhois amongyou and have weptbeforeHim, saying,"Whydid we everleaveEgypt?"'"
"But whoeverdeniesMe beforemen,I will alsodenyhim beforeMy Fatherwho is in heaven.
But Jesus answered,"I tellyou, ifthesebecome silent,the stoneswill cryout!"

The sonsof Reubenand the sonsof Gadcalledthe altar[Witness]; "For," [they said], "it is a witnessbetweenus that the LORDis God."
Then Joshuadismissedthe people,eachto his inheritance.
I knowyour deeds.Behold,I have putbeforeyou an opendoorwhichno onecanshut,becauseyou havea littlepower,and have keptMy word,and have not deniedMy name.
Then Samueltooka stoneand setit betweenMizpahand Shen,and namedit Ebenezer,saying,"Thusfarthe LORDhas helpedus."
