Sothey were sayingto him, "Howthenwere your eyesopened?"
Justas you do not knowthe pathof the windand how bones[are formed] in the wombof the pregnantwoman,soyou do not knowthe activityof Godwhomakesallthings.
And they askedBaruch,saying,"Tellus, please,howdid you writeallthesewords?[Was it] at his dictation?"
and he goes to bedat nightand getsup by day,and the seedsproutsand grows--how,he himselfdoes not know.
Nicodemussaidto Him, "Howcanthese thingsbe?"
Afterthese thingsJesuswent awayto the other sideof the Seaof Galilee(or Tiberias).
He answered,"The manwho is calledJesusmadeclay,and anointedmy eyes,and saidto me, 'Goto Siloamand wash;soI went awayand washed,and I received sight."
Thenthe Phariseesalsowere askinghim againhowhe received his sight.And he saidto them, "He appliedclayto my eyes,and I washed,and I see."
but howhe nowsees,we do not know;orwhoopenedhis eyes,we do not know.Askhim; he is of age,he will speakfor himself."
Sothey saidto him, "Whatdid He doto you? Howdid He openyour eyes?"
Otherswere saying,"Thisis he," [still] otherswere saying,"No,but he is likehim." He kept saying,"I amthe one."
But someonewill say,"Howare the deadraised?And with what kindof bodydo they come?"
