Thereforethey pickedup stonesto throwat Him, but JesushidHimself and wentout of the temple.
They struckthe menwhowere at the doorwayof the housewith blindness,bothsmalland great,so that they wearied[themselves trying] to findthe doorway.
Moreover, the one who blasphemesthe nameof the LORDshall surelybe putto death;allthe congregationshall certainlystonehim. The alienas well as the native,when he blasphemesthe Name,shall be putto death.
But the Phariseeswentout and conspiredagainstHim, [as to] howthey might destroyHim.
Thentheir eyeswere openedand they recognizedHim; and He vanishedfrom their sight.
ThereforeJesusno longercontinued to walkpubliclyamongthe Jews,but went awayfrom thereto the countrynearthe wilderness,into a citycalledEphraim;and thereHe stayedwith the disciples.
The disciplessaidto Him, "Rabbi,the Jewswere just nowseekingto stoneYou, and are You goingthereagain?"
"Whileyou havethe Light,believein the Light,sothat you may becomesonsof Light."These thingsJesusspoke,and He went awayand hidHimself from them.
SoPilatesaidto them, "TakeHim yourselves,and judgeHim accordingto your law."The Jewssaidto him, "We are not permittedto putanyoneto death,"
But the man who was healeddid not knowwhoit was, for Jesushad slipped awaywhile there was a crowdin [that] place.
As He passedby, He sawa manblindfrom birth.
But they criedout with a loudvoice,and coveredtheir earsand rushedat him with one impulse.
Moreover Davidwas greatlydistressedbecausethe peoplespokeof stoninghim, for allthe peoplewere embittered,eachonebecauseof his sonsand his daughters.But Davidstrengthenedhimself in the LORDhis God.
