And manypeopleswill comeand say,"Come,let us goup to the mountainof the LORD,To the houseof the Godof Jacob;That He may teachus concerningHis waysAnd that we may walkin His paths."For the lawwill goforthfrom ZionAnd the wordof the LORDfrom Jerusalem.
"Allyour sonswill be taughtof the LORD;And the well-beingof your sonswill be great.
Manynationswill comeand say,"Comeand let us goup to the mountainof the LORDAnd to the houseof the Godof Jacob,That He may teachus aboutHis waysAnd that we may walkin His paths."For from Zionwill goforththe law,Even the wordof the LORDfrom Jerusalem.
"All thingshave been handed overto Me by My Father;and no oneknowsthe Sonexceptthe Father;nordoes anyoneknowthe Fatherexceptthe Son,and anyone to whomthe Sonwillsto reveal[Him].
While he was stillspeaking,a brightcloudovershadowedthem, and behold,a voiceout of the cloudsaid,"Thisis My belovedSon,with whomI am well-pleased;listento Him!"
As it is writtenin Isaiahthe prophet:"BEHOLD,I SENDMY MESSENGERAHEADOF YOU, WHOWILL PREPAREYOUR WAY;
As He spokeby the mouthof His holyprophetsfrom of old--
ThenHe tookthe twelveasideand saidto them, "Behold,we are goingup to Jerusalem,and all thingswhich are writtenthroughthe prophetsabout the Sonof Manwill be accomplished.
"My sheephearMy voice,and I knowthem, and they followMe;
"Allthat the FathergivesMe will cometo Me, and the one who comesto Me I will certainlynot castout.
And He was saying,"For thisreasonI have saidto you, that no onecancometo Me unlessit has beengrantedhim from the Father."
"Thereforetake heed,sothat the thing spokenof in the Prophetsmay not comeupon [you]:
"But Godturned awayand deliveredthem up to servethe hostof heaven;as it is writtenin the bookof the prophets,IT WAS NOT TO ME THAT YOU OFFEREDVICTIMSAND SACRIFICESFORTYYEARSIN THE WILDERNESS,WAS IT, O HOUSEOF ISRAEL?
that the Godof our LordJesusChrist,the Fatherof glory,may giveto you a spiritof wisdomand of revelationin the knowledgeof Him.
Let us therefore,as manyas are perfect,havethisattitude;and ifin anythingyou havea differentattitude,Godwill revealthat alsoto you;
Nowas to the love of the brethren,you havenoneedfor [anyone] to writeto you, for you yourselvesare taught by Godto loveone another;
"THISIS THE COVENANTTHAT I WILL MAKEWITH THEM AFTERTHOSEDAYS,SAYSTHE LORD:I WILL PUTMY LAWSUPON THEIR HEART,AND ON THEIR MINDI WILL WRITETHEM," [He then says],
As for you, the anointingwhichyou receivedfrom Him abidesin you, and you havenoneedfor anyoneto teachyou; but as His anointingteachesyou aboutall things,and is true and is not a lie,and justas it has taughtyou, you abidein Him.
