Whohas ascendedinto heavenand descended?Whohas gatheredthe windin His fists?Whohas wrappedthe watersin His garment?Whohas establishedallthe endsof the earth?Whatis His nameor His son'sname?Surelyyou know!
teachingthem to observeallthat I commandedyou; and lo,I amwith you always,evento the endof the age."
Jesussaidto him, "The foxeshaveholesand the birdsof the air[have] nests,but the Sonof Manhasnowhereto layHis head."
No onehas seenGodat any time;the only begottenGodwho is in the bosomof the Father,He has explained[Him].
[Jesus], knowingthat the Fatherhad givenall thingsinto His hands,and that He had come forthfrom Godand was going backto God,
"Now,Father,glorifyMe togetherwith Yourself,with the glorywhichI hadwith You beforethe worldwas.
"IfI toldyou earthly thingsand you do not believe,howwill you believeifI tellyou heavenly things?
"He who comesfrom aboveis aboveall,he who is of the earthis from the earthand speaksof the earth.He who comesfrom heavenis aboveall.
"For the breadof Godis that which comes downout of heaven,and giveslifeto the world."
"For I have come downfrom heaven,not to doMy ownwill,but the willof Him who sentMe.
They were saying,"Is not thisJesus,the sonof Joseph,whosefatherand motherwe know?Howdoes He nowsay,I have come downout of heaven'?"
"Not that anyonehas seenthe Father,exceptthe One who is from God;He has seenthe Father.
"I amthe livingbreadthat came downout of heaven;ifanyoneeatsof thisbread,he will liveforever;and the breadalsowhichI will givefor the lifeof the worldis My flesh."
"[What] thenifyou seethe Sonof Manascendingto whereHe was before?
Jesussaidto them, "IfGodwere your Father,you would loveMe, for I proceeded forthand have comefrom God,for I have not evencomeon My own initiative,but He sentMe.
"For it was not Davidwho ascendedinto heaven,but he himselfsays:THE LORDSAIDTO MY LORD,"SITAT MY RIGHT HAND,
"Be on guardfor yourselvesand for allthe flock,amongwhichthe HolySpirithas madeyou overseers,to shepherdthe churchof GodwhichHe purchasedwith His ownblood.
But the righteousnessbasedon faithspeaksas follows:"DO NOT SAYIN YOUR HEART,'WHOWILL ASCENDINTO HEAVEN?'(that is, to bringChristdown),
The firstmanis from the earth,earthy;the secondmanis from heaven.
whichis His body,the fullnessof Him who fillsallin all.
"It is not in heaven,that you should say,Whowill goup to heavenfor us to getit for us and make us hearit, that we may observeit?'
