AftereightdaysHis discipleswere againinside,and Thomaswith them. Jesuscame,the doorshaving been shut,and stoodin their midstand said,"Peace[be] with you."
LORD,You will establishpeacefor us, SinceYou have alsoperformedfor us allour works.
"Orlet him relyon My protection,Let him makepeacewith Me, Let him makepeacewith Me."
"For the mountainsmay be removedand the hillsmay shake,But My lovingkindnesswill not be removedfrom you, And My covenantof peacewill not be shaken,"Saysthe LORDwho hascompassionon you.
SixdayslaterJesustookwith Him Peterand Jamesand Johnhis brother,and ledthem up on a highmountainby themselves.
AfterwardHe appearedto the eleventhemselvesas they were reclining[at the table]; and He reproachedthem for their unbeliefand hardness of heart,becausethey had not believedthosewho had seenHim after He had risen.
While they were tellingthese things,He Himselfstoodin their midstand saidto them, "Peacebe to you."
Someeightdaysafterthesesayings,He took alongPeterand Johnand James,and wentup on the mountainto pray.
ThereforeThomas,who is calledDidymus,saidto [his] fellow disciples,"Let us alsogo,sothat we may diewith Him."
"PeaceI leavewith you; My peaceI giveto you; not as the worldgivesdo I giveto you. Do not let your heartbe troubled,norlet it be fearful.
Sowhen it was eveningon that day,the first[day] of the week,and when the doorswere shutwherethe discipleswere, for fearof the Jews,Jesuscameand stoodin their midstand saidto them, "Peace[be] with you."
SoJesussaidto them again,"Peace[be] with you; as the Fatherhas sentMe, I alsosendyou."
Afterthese thingsJesusmanifestedHimselfagainto the disciplesat the Seaof Tiberias,and He manifested[Himself] in this way.
Thisis nowthe third timethat Jesuswas manifestedto the disciples,after He was raisedfrom the dead.
To theseHe alsopresentedHimselfaliveafterHis suffering,by manyconvincing proofs,appearingto them over[a period of] fortydaysand speakingof the things concerningthe kingdomof God.
