"They will makeyou outcasts from the synagogue,but an houris comingfor everyonewho killsyou to thinkthat he is offeringserviceto God.
"Who say,Keepto yourself, do not comenearme, For I am holierthan you!' Theseare smokein My nostrils,A firethat burnsallthe day.
Hearthe wordof the LORD,you whotrembleat His word:"Your brotherswho hateyou, who excludeyou for My name'ssake,Have said,'Let the LORDbe glorified,that we may seeyour joy.'But they will be putto shame.
"Those who haveinsightamong the peoplewill giveunderstandingto the many;yet they will fallby swordand by flame,by captivityand by plunderfor [many] days.
"Do not fearthosewho killthe bodybut are unableto killthe soul;but ratherfearHim who is ableto destroybothsouland bodyin hell.
"Thenthey will deliveryou to tribulation,and will killyou, and you will be hatedby allnationsbecauseof My name.
"Blessedare you whenmenhateyou, and ostracizeyou, and insultyou, and scornyour nameas evil,for the sakeof the Sonof Man.
Neverthelessmanyevenof the rulersbelievedin Him, but becauseof the Phariseesthey were not confessing[Him], for fearthat they would be put out of the synagogue;
"These thingsI have spokento you in figurativelanguage;an houris comingwhenI will no longerspeakto you in figurative language,but will tellyou plainlyof the Father.
"Behold,an houris coming,and has [already] come,for you to be scattered,eachto his own[home], and to leaveMe alone;and [yet] I amnot alone,becausethe Fatheris with Me.
Jesussaidto her, "Woman,believeMe, an houris comingwhenneitherin thismountainnorin Jerusalemwill you worshipthe Father.
"But an houris coming,and nowis, whenthe true worshiperswill worshipthe Fatherin spiritand truth;for such peoplethe Fatherseeksto be His worshipers.
His parentssaidthisbecausethey were afraidof the Jews;for the Jewshad alreadyagreedthat ifanyoneconfessedHim to be Christ,he was to be put out of the synagogue.
They answeredhim, "You were bornentirelyin sins,and are you teachingus?" Sothey puthim out.
But when they heardthis, they were cut to the quickand intendedto killthem.
and he said,"Behold,I seethe heavensopenedup and the Sonof Manstandingat the right handof God."
when we are slandered,we try to conciliate;we have becomeas the scumof the world,the dregsof all things,[even] untilnow.
as to zeal,a persecutorof the church;as to the righteousnesswhich is in the Law,foundblameless.
Whenthe Lamb brokethe fifthseal,I sawunderneaththe altarthe soulsof thosewho had been slainbecauseof the wordof God,and becauseof the testimonywhichthey had maintained;
Then the menof the citysaidto Joash,"Bringout your son,that he may die,for he has torndownthe altarof Baal,and indeed,he has cutdownthe Asherahwhichwas besideit."
