When evildoerscameupon me to devourmy flesh,My adversariesand my enemies,they stumbledand fell.
The wiseman'seyesare in his head,but the foolwalksin darkness.And yetI knowthat onefatebefallsthem both.
Givegloryto the LORDyour God,BeforeHe bringsdarknessAnd beforeyour feetstumbleOn the duskymountains,And while you are hopingfor lightHe makesit into deepdarkness,[And] turns[it] into gloom.
But the LORDis with me like a dreadchampion;Thereforemy persecutorswill stumbleand not prevail.They will be utterlyashamed,becausethey have failed,With an everlastingdisgracethat will not be forgotten.
yethe hasno[firm] rootin himself,but is [only] temporary,and when afflictionorpersecutionarisesbecauseof the word,immediatelyhe falls away.
ThisHe said,and afterthat He saidto them, "Our friendLazarushas fallen asleep;but I go,sothat I may awaken him out of sleep."
Jesusanswered,"Are therenot twelvehoursin the day?Ifanyonewalksin the day,he does not stumble,becausehe seesthe lightof thisworld.
