"Waitfor me a little,and I will showyou That there is yetmoreto be saidin God'sbehalf.
"Bearwith me that I may speak;Then afterI have spoken,you may mock.
"Behold,I belong to Godlike you; I toohave been formedout of the clay.
Then Elihucontinuedand said,
"I will fetchmy knowledgefrom afar,And I will ascriberighteousnessto my Maker.
"Moreover, he shall speakfor you to the people;and he will be as a mouthfor you and you will be as Godto him.
Therefore,thussaysthe LORD,"Ifyou return,then I will restoreyou-- BeforeMe you will stand;And ifyou extractthe preciousfrom the worthless,You will becomeMy spokesman.They for their partmay turnto you, But as for you, you must not turnto them.
"But you shall speakMy wordsto them whetherthey listenornot, for they are rebellious.
Therefore,we are ambassadorsfor Christ,as thoughGodwere making an appealthroughus; we begyou on behalfof Christ,be reconciledto God.
But I urgeyou, brethren,bearwith thiswordof exhortation,for I have writtento you briefly.
