And showyou the secretsof wisdom!For soundwisdomhas twosides.Knowthen that Godforgetsa part of your iniquity.
"For the morningis the sameto him as thickdarkness,For he is familiarwith the terrorsof thickdarkness.
"Let darknessand blackgloomclaimit; Let a cloudsettleon it; Let the blacknessof the dayterrifyit.
"Thereis nodarknessor deepshadowWherethe workersof iniquitymay hidethemselves.
If I say,"Surelythe darknesswill overwhelmme, And the lightaroundme will be night,"
Eventhe darknessis not darkto You, And the nightis as brightas the day.Darknessand lightare alike [to You].
Would not Godfindthisout? For He knowsthe secretsof the heart.
"It is He who revealsthe profoundand hiddenthings;He knowswhatis in the darkness,And the lightdwellswith Him.
He who madethe Pleiadesand OrionAnd changesdeepdarknessinto morning,Who also darkensday[into] night,Who callsfor the watersof the seaAnd poursthem out on the surfaceof the earth,The LORDis His name.
"Thereforedo not fearthem, for there is nothingconcealedthat will not be revealed,orhiddenthat will not be known.
TO SHINEUPON THOSEWHO SITIN DARKNESSAND THE SHADOWOF DEATH,To guideour feetinto the wayof peace."
For to us Godrevealed[them] throughthe Spirit;for the Spiritsearchesall things,eventhe depthsof God.
Thereforedo not go on passing judgmentbeforethe time,[but wait] untilthe Lordcomeswhowill bothbring to lightthe things hiddenin the darknessand disclosethe motivesof [men's] hearts;and theneach man'spraisewill cometo him from God.
