"We have heardof the prideof Moab--he [is] veryproud--Of his haughtiness, his pride, his arroganceand his self-exaltation.
For thoughthe LORDis exalted,Yet He regardsthe lowly,But the haughtyHe knowsfrom afar.
Beforedestructionthe heartof manis haughty,But humility[goes] beforehonor.
"Proud,""Haughty,""Scoffer,"are his names,Who actswith insolentpride.
There is a kind--oh howloftyare his eyes! And his eyelidsare raised[in arrogance].
"The fearof the LORDis to hateevil;Prideand arroganceand the evilwayAnd the pervertedmouth,I hate.
Thus I will punishthe worldfor its evilAnd the wickedfor their iniquity;I will also putan endto the arroganceof the proudAnd abasethe haughtinessof the ruthless.
We have heardof the prideof Moab,an excessivepride;[Even] of his arrogance, pride, and fury; His idleboastsare false.
"NowI, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exaltand honorthe Kingof heaven, for allHis worksare true and His waysjust, and He is ableto humblethose whowalkin pride."
"For everyonewho exaltshimselfwill be humbled, and he who humbleshimselfwill be exalted."
But He givesa greatergrace. Therefore[it] says,"GODIS OPPOSEDTO THE PROUD,BUT GIVESGRACETO THE HUMBLE."
