IfI regardwickednessin my heart,The Lordwill not hear;
"Howlong,O naiveones,will you lovebeing simple-minded?And scoffersdelightthemselves in scoffingAnd foolshateknowledge?
Let the wickedforsakehis wayAnd the unrighteousmanhis thoughts;And let him returnto the LORD,And He will havecompassionon him, And to our God,For He will abundantlypardon.
"As for your adulteriesand your [lustful] neighings,The lewdnessof your prostitutionOn the hillsin the field,I have seenyour abominations.Woeto you, O Jerusalem!Howlongwill you remainunclean?"
The sinof Judahis writtendownwith an ironstylus;With a diamondpointit is engravedupon the tabletof their heartAnd on the hornsof their altars,

"Althoughyou washyourself with lyeAnd usemuchsoap,The stainof your iniquityis beforeMe," declaresthe LordGOD.
"Hear,O earth:behold,I am bringingdisasteron thispeople,The fruitof their plans,Becausethey have not listenedto My words,And as for My law,they have rejectedit also.
"Castawayfrom you allyour transgressionswhichyou have committedand makeyourselves a newheartand a newspirit!For whywill you die,O houseof Israel?
Also let noneof you deviseevilin your heartagainst another,and do not loveperjury;for alltheseare whatI hate,'declaresthe LORD."

But the Lordsaidto him, "Nowyou Phariseescleanthe outsideof the cupand of the platter;but insideof you, you are fullof robberyand wickedness.
SimonPetersaidto Him, "Lord,[then wash] not onlymy feet,but alsomy handsand my head."

For even though they knewGod,they did not honorHim as Godorgive thanks,but they became futilein their speculations,and their foolishheartwas darkened.
and again,"THE LORDKNOWSTHE REASONINGSof the wise,THAT THEY ARE USELESS."
