"Let his own eyesseehis decay,And let him drinkof the wrathof the Almighty.
Woeto the wicked![It will go] badly[with him], For whathe deserveswill be doneto him.
"The personwho sinswill die.The sonwill not bearthe punishmentfor the father'siniquity,norwill the fatherbearthe punishmentfor the son'siniquity;the righteousnessof the righteouswill be upon himself, and the wickednessof the wickedwill be upon himself.
"Behold,allsoulsare Mine; the soulof the fatheras well as the soulof the sonis Mine. The soulwho sinswill die.
The Spiritthen enteredme and made me standon my feet,and He spokewith me and saidto me, "Go,shutyourself up in your house.
"When I sayto the righteoushe will surelylive,and he [so] trustsin his righteousnessthat he commitsiniquity,noneof his righteousdeedswill be remembered;but in that same iniquityof his whichhe has committedhe will die.
"When the righteousturnsfrom his righteousnessand commitsiniquity,then he shall diein it.
"When I sayto the wicked,'O wickedman,you will surelydie,'and you do not speakto warnthe wickedfrom his way,that wickedmanshall diein his iniquity,but his bloodI will requirefrom your hand.
