Do giveheedto me, O LORD,And listento whatmy opponentsare saying!
"InclineYour ear,O LORD,and hear;openYour eyes,O LORD,and see;and listento the wordsof Sennacherib,whichhe has sentto reproachthe livingGod.
For allof them were [trying] to frightenus, thinking,"They will becomediscouragedwith the workand it will not be done."But now,[O God], strengthenmy hands.
Let them curse,but You bless;When they arise,they shall be ashamed,But Your servantshall be glad.
In returnfor my lovethey actas my accusers;But I am [in] prayer.
Then they said,"Comeand let us deviseplansagainstJeremiah.Surelythe lawis not going to be lostto the priest,norcounselto the sage,northe [divine] wordto the prophet!Comeon and let us strikeat him with [our] tongue,and let us givenoheedto anyof his words."
Should goodbe repaidwith evil?For they have duga pitfor me. Rememberhow I stoodbeforeYou To speakgoodon their behalf,So as to turnawayYour wrathfrom them.
Yet, O LORDof hosts,You who testthe righteous,Who seethe mindand the heart;Let me seeYour vengeanceon them; For to You I have setforthmy cause.
O LORD,You have seenmy oppression;Judgemy case.
Do not rejoiceover me, O my enemy.ThoughI fallI will rise;ThoughI dwellin darkness,the LORDis a lightfor me.
