He entersinto peace;They restin their beds,[Each one] who walkedin his uprightway.
Now when Abramwas ninety-nineyearsold,the LORDappearedto Abramand saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;WalkbeforeMe, and be blameless.
They buriedhim in his own tombwhichhe had cutout for himself in the cityof David,and they laidhim in the restingplacewhichhe had filledwith spicesof various kindsblendedby the perfumers'art;and they madea verygreatfirefor him.
"Therethe wickedceasefrom raging,And therethe wearyare at rest.
Markthe blamelessman,and beholdthe upright;For the manof peacewill have a posterity.
then the dustwill returnto the earthas it was, and the spiritwill returnto Godwhogaveit.
"Allthe kingsof the nationsliein glory,Eachin his own tomb.
The wayof the righteousis smooth;O UprightOne,makethe pathof the righteouslevel.
Thussaysthe LORD,"Standby the waysand seeand askfor the ancientpaths,Wherethe goodwayis, and walkin it; And you will findrestfor your souls.But they said,'We will not walk[in it].'
"They have madea bedfor her amongthe slainwith allher hordes.Her gravesare aroundit, they are alluncircumcised,slainby the sword(althoughtheir terrorwas instilledin the landof the living),and they boretheir disgracewith those who godownto the pit;they were putin the midstof the slain.
"But as for you, go[your way] to the end;then you will enterinto restand rise[again] for your allottedportionat the endof the age."
"His mastersaidto him, 'Well done,goodand faithfulslave.You were faithfulwith a few things,I will put you in chargeof many things;enterinto the joyof your master.'
They were bothrighteousin the sightof God,walkingblamelesslyin allthe commandmentsand requirementsof the Lord.
"Nowthe poor mandiedand was carried awayby the angelsto Abraham'sbosom;and the rich manalsodiedand was buried.
"NowLord,You are releasingYour bond-servantto departin peace,Accordingto Your word;
And He saidto the woman,"Your faithhas savedyou; goin peace."
For we knowthat ifthe earthlytentwhich is our houseis torn down,we havea buildingfrom God,a housenot made with hands,eternalin the heavens.
we are of good courage,I say, and preferratherto be absentfrom the bodyand to be at homewith the Lord.
But I am hard-pressedfrom both[directions], havingthe desireto departand be with Christ,for [that] is very muchbetter;
And I hearda voicefrom heaven,saying,"Write,Blessedare the deadwho diein the Lordfrom nowon!'" "Yes,"saysthe Spirit,"sothat they may restfrom their labors,for their deedsfollowwith them."
