Stopregardingman,whosebreath[of life] is in his nostrils;For whyshould he be esteemed?
Thussaysthe LORD,"Cursedis the manwhotrustsin mankindAnd makesfleshhis strength,And whose heartturnsawayfrom the LORD.
Do not trustin princes,In mortalman,in whomthereis nosalvation.
Yetyou do not knowwhatyour lifewill be like tomorrow.You are [just] a vaporthat appearsfor a little whileand thenvanishes away.
Whatis manthat You takethoughtof him, And the sonof manthat You carefor him?
Behold,the nationsare like a dropfrom a bucket,And are regardedas a speckof duston the scales;Behold,He liftsup the islandslike finedust.
Menof lowdegreeare onlyvanityand menof rankare a lie;In the balancesthey goup; They are togetherlighter thanbreath.
of allthat was on the dryland,allin whosenostrilswas the breathof the spiritof life,died.
Then the LORDGodformedmanof dustfrom the ground,and breathedinto his nostrilsthe breathof life;and manbecamea livingbeing.
For as longas lifeis in me, And the breathof Godis in my nostrils,
Allthe nationsare as nothingbeforeHim, They are regardedby Him as lessthannothingand meaningless.
"I, even I, am He who comfortsyou. Whoare you that you are afraidof manwho diesAnd of the sonof manwho is madelike grass,
So nowwe callthe arrogantblessed;not onlyare the doersof wickednessbuiltup but they alsotestGodand escape.'"
