But Johntried to preventHim, saying,"I haveneedto be baptizedby You, and do You cometo me?"
(for they indeedbecamepriestswithoutan oath, but He with an oaththroughthe One who saidto Him, "THE LORDHAS SWORNAND WILL NOT CHANGE HIS MIND,'YOU ARE A PRIESTFOREVER'");
so muchthe morealsoJesushas becomethe guaranteeof a bettercovenant.
but Jesus, on the other hand,becauseHe continuesforever,holdsHis priesthoodpermanently.
In this casemortalmenreceivetithes,but in that caseone [receives them], of whom it is witnessedthat he liveson.
