sothat we confidentlysay,"THE LORDIS MY HELPER,I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.WHATWILL MANDOTO ME?"
Afterthesethingsthe wordof the LORDcameto Abramin a vision,saying,"Do not fear,Abram,I am a shieldto you; Your rewardshall be verygreat."
Then the wordof the LORDcameto him, saying,
Our helpis in the nameof the LORD,Who madeheavenand earth.
Do not trustin princes,In mortalman,in whomthereis nosalvation.
Do not hideYour facefrom me, Do not turnYour servantawayin anger;You have beenmy help;Do not abandonme norforsakeme, O Godof my salvation!
Our soulwaitsfor the LORD;He is our helpand our shield.
Since I am afflictedand needy,Let the Lordbe mindfulof me. You are my helpand my deliverer;Do not delay,O my God.
Behold,Godis my helper;The Lordis the sustainerof my soul.
In God,whose wordI praise,In GodI have putmy trust;I shall not be afraid.Whatcan [mere] mandoto me?
For You have beenmy help,And in the shadowof Your wingsI singfor joy.
Ifthe LORDhad not beenmy help,My soulwould soonhave dweltin [the abode of] silence.
The otherwas namedEliezer,for [he said], "The Godof my fatherwas my help,and deliveredme from the swordof Pharaoh."
Do not fear,for I am with you; Do not anxiously lookabout you, for I am your God.I will strengthenyou, surelyI will helpyou, SurelyI will upholdyou with My righteousrighthand.'
"Do not fear,you wormJacob,you menof Israel;I will helpyou," declaresthe LORD,"and your Redeemeris the HolyOneof Israel.
"Do not fearthosewho killthe bodybut are unableto killthe soul;but ratherfearHim who is ableto destroybothsouland bodyin hell.
Whatthenshall we sayto these things?IfGod[is] for us, who[is] againstus?
in whomwe haveboldnessand confidentaccessthroughfaithin Him.
"Thereis nonelike the Godof Jeshurun,Who ridesthe heavensto your help,And through the skiesin His majesty.
"Blessedare you, O Israel;Whois likeyou, a peoplesavedby the LORD,Who is the shieldof your helpAnd the swordof your majesty!So your enemieswill cringebefore you, And you will treadupon their highplaces."
Therefore,brethren,since we haveconfidenceto enterthe holy placeby the bloodof Jesus,
Thereforelet us draw nearwith confidenceto the throneof grace,sothat we may receivemercyand findgraceto helpin time of need.
Thus he saidto him, "Do not be afraid,becausethe handof Saulmy fatherwill not findyou, and you will be kingoverIsraeland I will be nextto you; and Saulmy fatherknowsthat also."
