Now theseare [the records of] the generationsof Shem,Ham,and Japheth,the sonsof Noah;and sonswere bornto them afterthe flood.
Now when Abramwas ninety-nineyearsold,the LORDappearedto Abramand saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;WalkbeforeMe, and be blameless.
Thisis the accountof the heavensand the earthwhen they were created,in the daythat the LORDGodmadeearthand heaven.
He blessedJoseph,and said,"The Godbeforewhommy fathersAbrahamand Isaacwalked,The Godwho has been my shepherdallmy lifeto thisday,
Thisis the bookof the generationsof Adam.In the daywhen Godcreatedman,He madehim in the likenessof God.
Then Enochwalkedwith Godthreehundredyearsafterhe becamethe fatherof Methuselah,and he had[other] sonsand daughters.
Enochwalkedwith God;and he was not, for Godtookhim.
Noahbecamethe fatherof threesons:Shem,Ham,and Japheth.
Then the LORDsaidto Noah,"Enterthe ark,you and allyour household,for you [alone] I have seen[to be] righteousbeforeMe in thistime.
"I was also blamelesstoward Him, And I keptmyself from my iniquity.
Then Solomonsaid,"You have showngreatlovingkindnessto Your servantDavidmy father,accordingas he walkedbeforeYou in truthand righteousnessand uprightnessof hearttowardYou; and You have reservedfor him thisgreatlovingkindness,that You have givenhim a sonto siton his throne,as [it is] thisday.
But the highplaceswere not removedfrom Israel;neverthelessAsa'sheartwas blamelessallhis days.
He didrightin the sightof the LORD,yetnot with a wholeheart.
There was a manin the landof Uzwhose namewas Job;and that manwas blameless,upright,fearingGodand turningawayfrom evil.
The LORDsaidto Satan,"Have you consideredMy servantJob?For thereis noonelikehim on the earth,a blamelessand uprightman,fearingGodand turningawayfrom evil."
"I ama joketo my friends,The one who calledon Godand He answeredhim; The just[and] blameless[man] is a joke.
Markthe blamelessman,and beholdthe upright;For the manof peacewill have a posterity.
But the salvationof the righteousis from the LORD;He is their strengthin timeof trouble.
But the pathof the righteousis like the lightof dawn,That shinesbrighterand brighteruntilthe fullday.
Indeed,thereis not a righteousmanon earthwho[continually] doesgoodand who neversins.
even [though] thesethreemen,Noah,Danieland Jobwere in its midst,by their [own] righteousnessthey could [only] deliverthemselves,"declaresthe LordGOD.
even [though] Noah,Danieland Jobwere in its midst,as I live,"declaresthe LordGOD,"they could not delivereither[their] sonor[their] daughter.They would deliveronly themselvesby their righteousness."
"Behold,as for the proudone, His soulis not rightwithin him; But the righteouswill liveby his faith.
They were bothrighteousin the sightof God,walkingblamelesslyin allthe commandmentsand requirementsof the Lord.
And there was a manin Jerusalemwhosenamewas Simeon;and thismanwas righteousand devout,lookingfor the consolationof Israel;and the HolySpiritwas upon him.
And a mannamedJoseph,who was a member of the Council,a goodand righteousman
They said,"Cornelius,a centurion,a righteousand God-fearingmanwell spokenof by the entirenationof the Jews,was [divinely] directedby a holyangelto sendfor you [to come] to his houseand heara messagefrom you."
For in it [the] righteousnessof Godis revealedfrom faithto faith;as it is written,"BUT THE RIGHTEOUS[man] SHALL LIVEBY FAITH."
Nowthat no oneis justifiedby the LawbeforeGodis evident;for, "THE RIGHTEOUS MANSHALL LIVEBY FAITH."
"You shall be blamelessbeforethe LORDyour God.
By faithNoah,being warned[by God] aboutthings not yetseen,in reverencepreparedan arkfor the salvationof his household,by whichhe condemnedthe world,and becamean heirof the righteousnesswhich is accordingto faith.
you also,as livingstones,are being builtup as a spiritualhousefor a holypriesthood,to offerup spiritualsacrificesacceptableto GodthroughJesusChrist.
and did not sparethe ancientworld,but preservedNoah,a preacherof righteousness,with seven others,when He broughta floodupon the worldof the ungodly;
