"You shall livein the landof Goshen,and you shall be nearme, you and your childrenand your children'schildrenand your flocksand your herdsand allthat you have.
you shall say,'Your servantshave beenkeepersof livestockfrom our youtheven untilnow,bothwe and our fathers,'that you may livein the landof Goshen;for everyshepherdis loathsometo the Egyptians."
Then Josephwentin and toldPharaoh,and said,"My fatherand my brothersand their flocksand their herdsand allthat they have, have comeout of the landof Canaan;and behold,they are in the landof Goshen."
Josephprovidedhis fatherand his brothersand allhis father'shouseholdwith food,accordingto their littleones.
They saidto Pharaoh,"We have cometo sojournin the land,for thereis nopasturefor your servants'flocks,for the famineis severein the landof Canaan.Now,therefore, pleaselet your servantslivein the landof Goshen."
"The landof Egyptis at your disposal;settleyour fatherand your brothersin the bestof the land,let them livein the landof Goshen;and ifyou knowanycapablemenamong them, then putthem in chargeof my livestock."
For Mordecaithe Jewwas second[only] to KingAhasuerus,and greatamong the Jewsand in favorwith his manykinsmen,one who soughtthe goodof his peopleand one who spokefor the welfareof his wholenation.
"But on that dayI will setapartthe landof Goshen,whereMy peopleare living,so that noswarmsof insects will be there,in orderthat you may knowthat I, the LORD,am in the midstof the land.
Onlyin the landof Goshen,wherethe sonsof Israel[were], there was nohail.
"Father,I desirethat they also,whomYou have givenMe, be with Me whereI am,sothat they may seeMy glorywhichYou have givenMe, for You lovedMe beforethe foundationof the world.
"ThenJosephsent[word] and invitedJacobhis fatherand allhis relativesto come to him, seventy-fivepersons[in all].
