He said,"Whatpledgeshall I giveyou?" And she said,"Your sealand your cord,and your staffthat is in your hand."So he gave[them] to her and wentin to her, and she conceivedby him.
When Judahsentthe younggoatby his friendthe Adullamite,to receivethe pledgefrom the woman'shand,he did not findher.
Takehis garmentwhenhe becomessuretyfor a stranger;And for foreigners,holdhim in pledge.

But aftera while,in the timeof wheatharvest,Samsonvisitedhis wifewith a younggoat,and said,"I will goin to my wifein [her] room."But her fatherdid not lethim enter.
