Godhas spokenin His holiness:"I will exult,I will portionout Shechemand measureout the valleyof Succoth.
Now the sonsof Israeljourneyedfrom Ramesesto Succoth,about sixhundredthousandmenon foot,asidefrom children.
Then they setout from Succothand campedin Ethamon the edgeof the wilderness.
and in the valley,Beth-haramand Beth-nimrahand Succothand Zaphon,the restof the kingdomof Sihonkingof Heshbon,with the Jordanas a border,as faras the [lower] endof the Seaof Chinnerethbeyondthe Jordanto the east.
