Then Isaacbroughther into his motherSarah'stent,and he tookRebekah,and she becamehis wife,and he lovedher; thus Isaacwas comfortedafterhis mother'sdeath.
Now after a considerabletimeShua'sdaughter,the wifeof Judah,died;and when the timeof mourningwas ended,Judahwentup to his sheepshearersat Timnah,he and his friendHirahthe Adullamite.
Then allhis sonsand allhis daughtersaroseto comforthim, but he refusedto be comforted.And he said,"SurelyI will godownto Sheolin mourningfor my son."So his fatherweptfor him.
For thiswe sayto you by the wordof the Lord,that we who are aliveand remainuntilthe comingof the Lord,will not precedethosewho have fallen asleep.
But we do not wantyou to be uninformed,brethren,aboutthosewho are asleep,sothat you will not grieveas do the restwho havenohope.
"I would leadyou [and] bringyou Into the houseof my mother,who used to instructme; I would giveyou spicedwineto drinkfrom the juiceof my pomegranates.
Now JacoblovedRachel,so he said,"I will serveyou sevenyearsfor your youngerdaughterRachel."
and Isaacwas fortyyearsoldwhen he tookRebekah,the daughterof Bethuelthe Arameanof Paddan-aram,the sisterof Labanthe Aramean,to be his wife.
So Abrahamhurriedinto the tentto Sarah,and said,"Quickly,preparethreemeasuresof fineflour,knead[it] and makebreadcakes."
The servanttoldIsaacallthe thingsthat he had done.
Now Abrahamtookanotherwife,whose namewas Keturah.
