Then he chargedthem and saidto them, "I am about to be gatheredto my people;buryme with my fathersin the cavethat is in the fieldof Ephronthe Hittite,
for his sonscarriedhim to the landof Canaanand buriedhim in the caveof the fieldof MachpelahbeforeMamre,whichAbrahamhad boughtalong with the fieldfor a burialsitefrom Ephronthe Hittite.
Then Davidsaidto Ornan,"Giveme the siteof [this] threshingfloor,that I may buildon it an altarto the LORD;for the fullpriceyou shall giveit to me, that the plaguemay be restrainedfrom the people."
But KingDavidsaidto Ornan,"No,but I will surelybuy[it] for the fullprice;for I will not takewhatis yours for the LORD,or offera burntofferingwhichcostsme nothing."
