But Godcameto Abimelechin a dreamof the night,and saidto him, "Behold,you are a deadman becauseof the womanwhomyou have taken,for she is married."
While he was sittingon the judgment seat,his wifesenthim [a message], saying,"Have nothingto do with that righteous Man;for last nightI sufferedgreatlyin a dreambecauseof Him."
"Nowtherefore, restorethe man'swife,for he is a prophet,and he will prayfor you and you will live.But ifyou do not restore[her], knowthat you shall surelydie,you and allwhoare yours."
He permittednomanto oppressthem, And He reprovedkingsfor their sakes:
"In a dream,a visionof the night,When soundsleepfallson men,While they slumberin their beds,
But when he had consideredthis,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto him in a dream,saying,"Joseph,sonof David,do not be afraidto takeMaryas your wife;for the Child whohas been conceivedin her is of the HolySpirit.
He hada dream,and behold,a ladderwas seton the earthwith its topreachingto heaven;and behold,the angelsof Godwere ascendingand descendingon it.
Then Jonahbeganto gothrough the cityoneday'swalk;and he criedout and said,"Yetfortydaysand Ninevehwill be overthrown."
Then they saidto him, "We have hada dreamand thereis nooneto interpretit." Then Josephsaidto them, "Do not interpretationsbelong to God?Tell[it] to me, please."
Now he hadstillanotherdream,and relatedit to his brothers,and said,"Lo,I have hadstillanother dream;and behold,the sunand the moonand elevenstarswere bowingdownto me."
Then Josephhada dream,and when he toldit to his brothers,they hatedhim evenmore.
Godcameto Labanthe Arameanin a dreamof the nightand saidto him, "Be carefulthat you do not speakto Jacobeithergoodorbad."
But the LORDstruckPharaohand his housewith greatplaguesbecauseof Sarai,Abram'swife.
Then PharaohcalledAbramand said,"Whatis thisyou have doneto me? Whydid you not tellme that she was your wife?
Then Godcameto Balaamand said,"Whoare thesemenwith you?"
He permittednomanto oppressthem, And He reprovedkingsfor their sakes,[saying],
Then the cupbearerand the bakerfor the kingof Egypt,whowere confinedin jail,bothhada dreamthe samenight,eachmanwith his [own] dream[and] eachdreamwith its [own] interpretation.
Godspoketo Israelin visionsof the nightand said,"Jacob,Jacob."And he said,"HereI am."
That He may turnmanaside[from his] conduct,And keepmanfrom pride;
