justas Sodomand Gomorrahand the citiesaroundthem, since they in the samewayas theseindulged in gross immoralityand wentafterstrangeflesh,are exhibitedas an examplein undergoingthe punishmentof eternalfire.

A fruitfullandinto a saltwaste,Becauseof the wickednessof those who dwellin it.
Now MountSinai[was] allin smokebecausethe LORDdescendedupon it in fire;and its smokeascendedlike the smokeof a furnace,and the wholemountainquakedviolently.
"But whocan endurethe dayof His coming?And whocan standwhen He appears?For He is like a refiner'sfireand like fullers'soap.
