"I will blessher, and indeedI will giveyou a sonby her. Then I will blessher, and she shall be [a mother of] nations;kingsof peopleswill comefrom her."
Godblessedthem; and Godsaidto them, "Be fruitfuland multiply,and fillthe earth,and subdueit; and ruleover the fishof the seaand over the birdsof the skyand over everylivingthingthat moveson the earth."
And I will makeyou a greatnation,And I will blessyou, And makeyour namegreat;And so you shall be a blessing;
Then behold,the wordof the LORDcame to him, saying,"Thisman will not be your heir;but one whowill comeforthfrom your own body,he shall be your heir."
Then Godsaidto Abraham,"As for Saraiyour wife,you shall not callher nameSarai,but Sarah[shall be] her name.
But Godsaid,"No,but Sarahyour wifewill bearyou a son,and you shall callhis nameIsaac;and I will establishMy covenantwith him for an everlastingcovenantfor his descendantsafterhim.
"I will makeyou exceedinglyfruitful,and I will makenationsof you, and kingswill comeforthfrom you.
Then the LORDtooknoteof Sarahas He had said,and the LORDdidfor Sarahas He had promised.
They blessedRebekahand saidto her, "May you, our sister,Becomethousandsof tenthousands,And may your descendantspossessThe gateof those who hatethem."
The LORDsaidto her, "Twonationsare in your womb;And twopeopleswill be separatedfrom your body;And one peopleshall be strongerthanthe other;And the oldershall servethe younger."
Godalso saidto him, "I am GodAlmighty;Be fruitfuland multiply;A nationand a companyof nationsshall comefrom you, And kingsshall comeforthfrom you.
Now theseare the kingswhoreignedin the landof Edombeforeany kingreignedover the sonsof Israel.
"Kingswill be your guardians,And their princessesyour nurses.They will bowdownto you with their facesto the earthAnd lickthe dustof your feet;And [you] will knowthat I am the LORD;Those whohopefullywaitfor Me will not be putto shame.
For thisis the wordof promise:"AT THISTIMEI WILL COME,AND SARAHSHALL HAVEA SON."
But the son by the bondwomanwas bornaccordingto the flesh,and the son by the free womanthroughthe promise.
justas SarahobeyedAbraham,callinghim lord,and you have becomeher childrenif you do what is rightwithoutbeing frightenedby anyfear.
