Now the LORDsaidto Abram,"Goforth from your country,And from your relativesAnd from your father'shouse,To the landwhichI will showyou;
By faithAbraham,when he was called,obeyedby goingout to a placewhichhe was to receivefor an inheritance;and he wentout, not knowingwherehe was going.
"You are the LORDGod,WhochoseAbramAnd broughthim out from Urof the Chaldees,And gavehim the nameAbraham.
"Lookto Abrahamyour fatherAnd to Sarahwho gavebirthto you in pain;When[he] [was but] oneI calledhim, Then I blessedhim and multipliedhim."
And He saidto him, "I am the LORDwhobroughtyou out of Urof the Chaldeans,to giveyou thislandto possessit."
"Sonof man,they who livein thesewasteplacesin the landof Israelare saying,Abrahamwas [only] one,yet he possessedthe land;so to us whoare manythe landhas been givenas a possession.'
"Therefore,COMEOUT FROM THEIR MIDSTAND BE SEPARATE,"saysthe Lord."AND DO NOT TOUCHWHAT IS UNCLEAN;And I will welcomeyou.
You whomI have takenfrom the endsof the earth,And calledfrom its remotestpartsAnd saidto you, 'You are My servant,I have chosenyou and not rejectedyou.
I heardanothervoicefrom heaven,saying,"Comeout of her, my people,sothat you will not participatein her sinsand receiveof her plagues;
and it cameabout, whenGodcaused me to wanderfrom my father'shouse,that I saidto her, 'Thisis the kindnesswhichyou will showto me: everywherewe go,sayof me, "He is my brother."'"
but you will goto my countryand to my relatives,and takea wifefor my sonIsaac."
The LORDappearedto him and said,"Do not godownto Egypt;stayin the landof whichI shall tellyou.
Did the godsof those nationswhichmy fathershave destroyeddeliverthem, [even] Gozanand Haranand Rezephand the sonsof Edenwho[were] in Telassar?
"The LORD,the Godof heaven,whotookme from my father'shouseand from the landof my birth,and whospoketo me and whosworeto me, saying,To your descendantsI will givethisland,'He will sendHis angelbeforeyou, and you will takea wifefor my sonfrom there.
but you shall goto my father'shouseand to my relatives,and takea wifefor my son.'
But he saidto him, "I will not come,but ratherwill goto my [own] landand relatives."
