Godmadethe expanse,and separatedthe waterswhichwere belowthe expansefrom the waterswhichwere abovethe expanse;and it was so.
Then Godsaid,"Let the earthsproutvegetation:plantsyieldingseed,[and] fruittreeson the earthbearingfruitafter their kindwith seedin them"; and it was so.
and let them be for lightsin the expanseof the heavensto givelighton the earth";and it was so.
Then Godsaid,"Let the earthbringforthlivingcreaturesafter their kind:cattleand creepingthingsand beastsof the earthafter their kind";and it was so.
Godcalledthe expanseheaven.And there was eveningand there was morning,a secondday.
Then Godsaid,"Let the watersbelowthe heavensbe gatheredinto oneplace,and let the drylandappear";and it was so.
"He wrapsup the watersin His clouds,And the clouddoes not burstunderthem.
He sendsforth springsin the valleys;They flowbetweenthe mountains;
To Him who madethe heavenswith skill,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting;
PraiseHim, highestheavens,And the watersthat are abovethe heavens!
The heavensare tellingof the gloryof God;And their expanseis declaringthe workof His hands.
Dayto daypoursforthspeech,And nightto nightrevealsknowledge.
Ifthe cloudsare full,they pourout rainupon the earth;and whethera treefallstoward the southor toward the north,whereverthe treefalls,thereit lies.
The menwere amazed,and said,"What kindof a manis this,that eventhe windsand the seaobeyHim?"
