So He broughtme there;and behold,there was a manwhose appearancewas like the appearanceof bronze,with a lineof flaxand a measuringrodin his hand;and he was standingin the gateway.
"I will makejusticethe measuringlineAnd righteousnessthe level;Then hailwill sweepawaythe refugeof liesAnd the waterswill overflowthe secretplace.
To the lawand to the testimony!Ifthey do not speakaccording to thisword,it is becausethey havenodawn.
Then I noticedfrom the appearanceof His loinsand upwardsomethinglike glowingmetalthat lookedlike fireallaroundwithinit, and from the appearanceof His loinsand downwardI sawsomethinglike fire;and [there was] a radiancearoundHim.
Their legswere straightand their feetwere like a calf'shoof,and they gleamedlike burnishedbronze.
Then he broughtme to the naveand measuredthe sidepillars;sixcubitswideon eachside[was] the widthof the sidepillar.
He measuredon the eastsidewith the measuringreedfivehundredreedsby the measuringreed.
Then I heardone speakingto me from the house,while a manwas standingbesideme.
When the manwentout toward the eastwith a linein his hand,he measureda thousandcubits,and he ledme throughthe water,water[reaching] the ankles.
Then I looked,and behold,a likenessas the appearanceof a man;from His loinsand downward[there was] the appearanceof fire,and from His loinsand upwardthe appearanceof brightness,like the appearanceof glowingmetal.
His feet[were] likeburnished bronze,whenit has been made to glowin a furnace,and His voice[was] likethe soundof manywaters.
Thenthere was givenme a measuring rodlikea staff;and someone said,"Getup and measurethe templeof Godand the altar,and thosewho worshipin it.
The one who spokewith me hada goldmeasuring rodto measurethe city,and its gatesand its wall.
