(though he himselfdid not doanyof thesethings),that is, he eveneatsat the mountain[shrines], and defileshis neighbor'swife,
but have returnedand eatenbreadand drunkwaterin the placeof whichHe saidto you, "Eatnobreadand drinknowater";your bodyshall not cometo the graveof your fathers.'"
But the manof Godsaidto the king,"Ifyou were to giveme halfyour houseI would not gowith you, norwould I eatbreador drinkwaterin thisplace.
"Then he may havea violentsonwho shedsbloodand who doesanyof thesethingsto a brother
"He does not eatat the mountain[shrines] or liftup his eyesto the idolsof the houseof Israel,or defilehis neighbor'swife,
"Onehas committedabominationwith his neighbor'swifeand anotherhas lewdlydefiledhis daughter-in-law.And anotherin you has humbledhis sister,his father'sdaughter.
But He said,"On the contrary,blessedare thosewho hearthe wordof Godand observeit."
"Ifyou knowthese things,you are blessedifyou dothem.
"You are My friendsifyou dowhatI commandyou.
Ordo you not knowthat the unrighteouswill not inheritthe kingdomof God?Do not be deceived;neitherfornicators,noridolaters,noradulterers,noreffeminate,norhomosexuals,
The thingsyou have learnedand receivedand heardand seenin me, practicethese things,and the Godof peacewill be with you.
Evensofaith,ifit hasnoworks,is dead,[being] by itself.
and whateverwe askwe receivefrom Him, becausewe keepHis commandmentsand dothe things that are pleasingin His sight.
Blessedare thosewho washtheir robes,sothat they may have the rightto the treeof life,and may enterby the gatesinto the city.
