And he placedthem on the shoulderpieces of the ephod,[as] memorialstonesfor the sonsof Israel,justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
So I answeredthem and saidto them, "The Godof heavenwill giveus success;therefore we His servantswill ariseand build,but you havenoportion,rightor memorialin Jerusalem."
"You shall putthe twostoneson the shoulderpieces of the ephod,[as] stonesof memorialfor the sonsof Israel,and Aaronshall beartheir namesbeforethe LORDon his twoshouldersfor a memorial.
"Aaronshall carrythe namesof the sonsof Israelin the breastpieceof judgmentoverhis heartwhen he entersthe holyplace, for a memorialbeforethe LORDcontinually.
"It shall havetwoshoulderpieces joinedto its twoends,that it may be joined.
"TrulyI sayto you, whereverthe gospelis preachedin the wholeworld,whatthis womanhas donewill alsobe spokenof in memoryof her."
then you shall sayto them, 'Becausethe watersof the Jordanwere cutoffbeforethe arkof the covenantof the LORD;when it crossedthe Jordan,the watersof the Jordanwere cutoff.'So thesestonesshall becomea memorialto the sonsof Israelforever."
