He madea mercyseatof puregold,two and a halfcubitslongand one and a halfcubitswide.
Then Davidgaveto his sonSolomonthe planof the porch[of the temple], its buildings,its storehouses,its upperrooms,its innerroomsand the roomfor the mercyseat;
the tentof meeting,and the arkof testimony,and the mercyseatupon it, and allthe furnitureof the tent,
He putthe polesinto the ringson the sidesof the ark,to carryit.
He madetwocherubimof gold;he madethem of hammeredworkat the twoendsof the mercyseat;
whomGoddisplayed publiclyas a propitiationin His bloodthroughfaith.[This was] to demonstrateHis righteousness,becausein the forbearanceof GodHe passed overthe sinspreviously committed;
But whenthe fullnessof the timecame,Godsent forthHis Son,bornof a woman,bornunderthe Law,
whogaveHimselffor us to redeemus from everylawless deed,and to purifyfor Himselfa peoplefor His ownpossession,zealousfor gooddeeds.
and aboveit [were] the cherubimof gloryovershadowingthe mercy seat;but of these thingswe cannotnowspeakin detail.
and He Himselfis the propitiationfor our sins;and not for oursonly,but alsofor [those of] the wholeworld.
